 | "The Ethiopian Leather Industries Association (ELIA) is organizing the All-African Leather Fair (AALF) 2008 which will take place in Addis Ababa from January 24-26, 2008. It will bring together tanners, footwear and other leather goods manufacturers, equipment and technology suppliers, chemical and inputs suppliers, manpower training institutions, trade promotion organizations, etc from all over the world. African companies and organizations are expected to constitute the largest attendance." | |

Africa Platform | A
one-stop shop for information and market intelligence on the African
leather sector, with complete profiles of the industry in each country
has been launched. The African Platform is a result of close
collaboration between ESALIA and the International Trade Centre. (ITC)
and can be found at www.leatherline.org
The
first phase of the project covers ten countries from Eastern and
Southern Africa namely, Botswana, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi,
Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
